Roche Diabetes Care Launches Accu-Fine Pen Needles for Virtually Painless Insulin Delivery in India

Mumbai, India, 9 May 2022: Roche Diabetes Care India (RDC India) today announced the launch of Accu-Fine, quality pen needles to make the process of insulin delivery smoother and virtually painless for people with diabetes. This latest innovation from (Roche Diabetes Care, maker of Accu-Chek) the house of Accu-Chek aims to make making the process of insulin delivery easier thereby leading to better diabetes management for people with diabetes.

Roche donates medicines and diagnostics for Ukraine

Roche announced the donation of medicines and diagnostics to Ukraine, including 31,000 units for diabetes management. Beyond the already communicated 150,000 packs of an antibiotic medicine the new donation includes another 4,600 packs of specialized medicines for the treatment of influenza, rheumatoid arthritis, SMA and various cancers. We are also donating reagents and consumables for automatic testing of up to 120,000 blood donations and 31,000 units for diabetes management.

Today, Roche and the Zur Rose Group announced a collaboration to empower people with diabetes and their caregivers in their daily therapy management. In Europe, there are 60 million people living with diabetes, i.e. approximately 9% of the population older than 20 years.

Roche Diabetes Care recognized for awareness programs in India

Did you know that access to basic educational diabetes material, let alone diabetes management supplies (i.e.  insulin, oral medicine, psychological support), is not available to a large number of people around the world? This is also a reality  in India, a country that has the second-highest number of adult population (aged 20-79 years) living with diabetes, according to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Diabetes Atlas 2021. And numbers are not any better for younger generations.
